It's a wild life!

Wildlife is in abundance now that spring has truly arrived at Bartles Lodge. This cheeky pheasant just stolled up to the photogrpaher almost asking for his picture to be taken!

Meet two of our recent guests (name) and (name). They stayed with us for a week in April to do some serious fishing on our beautiful lakes. During their stay they caught some magnificent fish and were even visited by (name’s) mum and dad!

Welcome to Bartles Blog the online diary for Bartles Lodge fishing lake and holiday accomodation in Norfolk.

We bought Bartles Lodge back in February this year and are beginning to get stuck into improving and developing our beautiful site to make it even better for our visitors. We currenly offer 7 rooms on a bed and breakfast basis in our purpose built accommodation which overlooks our 11 acres of beautiful grounds.

We are based just a few miles from the attractive market town of Dereham and are ideally situated for exploring the Norfolk coast and countryside. However many of our guests come for the fishing as we have two beautiful fishing lakes - of about an acre each. Both are well stocked with carp, roach, rudd and tench. What's more we are not far away from the famous river Wensum and the Norfolk broads where we also offer fishing trips.
