carp
Some of the carp etc that we have put into the new lake. With plenty of space and good food through out the summer they will grow very quickly. We will check thier progress after the summer to determine what,if anything, else needs to be added to make it a varied and enjoyable place to fish.
Tench, which we are already breeding in the stock pond, will be added to all the lakes in the autumn.
So it looks on coarse to open late next Autumn.
stocking new lake
Picked the coldest day of the year to stock the new lake.
We put in 350lb of roach, perch and bream and took about 1200 one inch common and mirror carp from the house lake, where they bred for the first time last year.We were pleasently surprised by them but we think it was due to the feeding regime we set up last year.
